Jeff Ahern is the founder and owner of Apex Performance, one of Northern California’s premier sports performance training facilities. Built on a relentless standard for development, energy, and results, Apex Performance was created to help athletes become faster, stronger, more explosive, and more confident in every aspect of competition.

Born and raised in Redding, California, Jeff grew up competing in multiple sports and developed a deep passion for athletics from an early age. His competitive drive eventually led him to become an All-State baseball player in high school before continuing his career as a pitcher at Cal State Monterey Bay, where he earned his degree in Kinesiology.

After years of studying performance, training methods, and athlete development, Jeff founded Apex Performance in 2022 with one goal in mind: bring elite-level sports performance training to Northern California and raise the standard for athlete development in the area.

Since opening its doors, Apex Performance has trained more than 500 athletes across multiple sports and age groups — from youth athletes to Olympic and professional level competitors. Known for high-energy training, attention to detail, and a results-driven approach, Apex has quickly built a reputation as a place where serious athletes come to develop.

Jeff’s vision for Apex Performance goes beyond speed, strength, and performance testing. His mission is to help athletes unlock their full potential, build confidence through hard work, and create opportunities for them to compete at the next level.

When he’s not coaching, Jeff spends time with his wife, Lauren, and their two children, Daniel and Blake.
